Switching to Vista

Well as soon as my educationally discounted copy of Vista Ultimate is no longer on backorder i will be riding the Vista train. Vista is like a strange animal compared to XP, it sort of looks the same but it makes a lot of pop up warnings and eats up all your ram. Personally though in my encounters with Vista business I have never failed getting Vista to do what I want it to. I have heard that getting Vista to work with games can be something else entirely. I always watch ppl crash in games, come back and say "stupid vista." Well it will certainly be interesting either way, if anyone has found Vista to be superior or inferior to XP in the games department I would love to have some insights on my upcoming journey to the unknown.
