So Warhammer Online is set to be a great game but as many are finding, myself included Mythic forgot to tell people what ports need to be opened. This issue keep people from authenticating to servers, opening quests and just playing the game in general.
The problem lies with ISPs unwilling to open said ports, which can be deduced by player, because Mythic has not officially stated what ports need to be opened. For such a simple fix this is the first beef i have ever really had with the way Mythic has conducted itself when it comes to Warhammer. I am at college right now and it is hard enough to get a hold of a network admin about getting a game to work. Right now i can't even start the process till Mythic gets off its butt and gets its documentation in order.
Proxy tools can be used to get around this but it really should not have been an issue, and they had the whole headstart to fix it. The only address to this issue is Mythic basically blaming the issues on password issues, but this is not the case. I will work with the proxy to see if i can get in but this has really tried my patiance in Mythic. I hope this will be the low point of the launch, because you can't make a worse mistake than keeping your users from playing.
